Desktop gadget feature, one of the most used features of Windows 7, is not available in Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and the latest Windows 10. The feature was discontinued citing security reasons. Microsoft, in fact, has been providing a tool to completely uninstall desktop gadgets from Windows 7 operating system. It no longer exists.

Using vagrant/vagrant for user/password gets me in (inside the VirtualBox terminal) at which point the vagrant up command fails.My and the output from.What is the culprit?EDIT: Virtualisation is enabled. Sadly that doesn't work - getting the same error no matter what arguments I remove/add.I just tried to bring up another clean machine simply by running vagrant init ubuntu/trusty64. I could then vagrant ssh into the box no problem.Could the error ebove be related to using SMB shared folders? 10053 software caused connection abort. I will play with the Vagrantfile a bit to see if I can get it running but it's very tedious - if I vagrant reload or up an already provisioned machine with this Vagrantfile then I don't even get to the point where I can try to ssh into it.

Why? It's migrated to it's own standalone app, included in the OS, Sticky Notes. It's better, give it a shot.

We typed a note using the default font, Segoe Print, which resembles handwriting, only legible. Clicking the green check mark saved our changes, closed the Configuration Window, and rolled up our note to a minimized size displaying the date and time it was created and the first line of our message. Right-clicking the note let us edit, resize, copy, or delete it, among other choices. The program's system tray icon serves as central command. Clicking the icon changed color and displayed or hid the notes on the desktop. We could also open the Notes Manager, a tree view-based tool, and the General Settings, a much more detailed and extensive properties sheet that let us configure not only how our notes looked and behaved but also set up synching and other options. Clicking the Help button opened a Web-based help site, including screenshots. The keyboard shortcuts proved the fastest way to do things, once we'd learned them.
